Benchmark figures last verified against official published results tables: August 30, 2026
Aadhvi tells you two things about your child, and they come from two completely different places. It matters that you know which is which.
Where your child is
This comes entirely from your child's own work — their first check-in, then every skill they master in practice. Nothing about another country affects it. When Aadhvi says your Grade 4 child is reading at a Grade 6 level, that is a statement about them alone.
What that means in the world
This comes from the international studies below. They tell us how an average child of a given age performs in each country, which is what lets a country light up on your child's map. It is a reference point — never a ranking of your child against other children.
The international comparisons
We do not run our own international test, and we do not estimate. Every country figure in Aadhvi is taken from one of the studies below — the same studies education ministries use to compare themselves to each other. Which study applies to your child depends on their age.

Canada does not take part nationally at Grade 8, so this figure is the average of Quebec (543) and Ontario (530), the two provinces that participated.

How we check them
On August 30, 2026 every one of the 123figures behind the world map was checked, one at a time, against an official published results table: the IEA's own TIMSS exhibits, and the U.S. Department of Education's published tables of the OECD's PISA results. Where our figure disagreed, the published figure won — 20 of them did. Each row now records the study it came from, the table it was checked against, and the date.
These numbers change only when a new study is published — PISA runs every three years, TIMSS every four. We re-check the full set each time one lands.
The curriculum your child practises
Practice is not generic. It follows the curriculum your own state, province or territory actually publishes — so a child in Ontario works through the Ontario Curriculum, and a child in Texas works through TEKS.
- 112 official frameworks across 77states, provinces and territories — including the Common Core State Standards, the Next Generation Science Standards, the C3 Framework for social studies, Florida B.E.S.T., Texas TEKS, Virginia's Standards of Learning, the Ontario Curriculum and the Québec Education Program.
- 5,425 individual skills in our skill map, mapped to 157,791 region-specific standards.
- 151,048 of those standards link directly to the official government document they come from. You can open the source for yourself from the Curriculum tab in your dashboard.
One honest note: science and social studies are published by grade rangesrather than single grades in most US states, so a standard code beside a Grade 5 science skill may read “3–5”. That is how the framework itself is written, not a mistake on our side.
